Have you ever built a campfire?  You need logs and twigs and maybe some paper to get it going.  But the other important thing that a fire needs is air – sometimes in the form of your breath.  When you blow on the flame of a birthday candle, the fire is extinguished.  It goes out.  But when you blow on the flame of a dwindling fire, it grows.  The fire gets bigger and it spreads.

Today we imagine a campfire inside ourselves.  We can think of that campfire as our faith, our belief in God and our desire to share the good news of God`s grace.  And just like a breath that keeps the campfire burning, the Holy Spirit of God is with us to keep our faith burning.
